Impact of Brexit

Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) released a statement on the EU referendum leave result, in terms of its impact on ESF funded projects in the UK. To view the full statement, please follow this  link.

Access Europe Network have also produced a briefing on the impact of Brexit on EU funding.

Finally NCVO have done a briefing on the wider implications for the voluntary sector following the vote to leave the European Union.

'Many Hands'

LVSC has published a report 'Many Hands' that presents the findings of a research project examining the employment and skills challenges facing individuals, existing employability support, and the voluntary sector organisations active in this area in the capital. The report also list recommendations on how the London voluntary sector should be involved in the design and delivery of employment support services. It was produced by our previous Employment and Skills Policy & Project Manager Nehal Bradley-Depani. To download a copy, please follow this link.

State of Human Rights

The Human Rights Alliance is collecting evidence from civil society organisations about the state of human rights in Great Britain to feed into the United Nations Universal Periodic Review process happening next year. Deadline for submissions has been extended to 6th July. To submit please follow this link.

London Deputy Mayor for Skills

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan last week appointed Jules Pipe CBE to his top team as deputy mayor for planning, regeneration and skills. Jules Pipe will work on key priorities for the Mayor, including major regeneration projects across the capital, providing young people with skills for their future careers, and ensuring London's infrastructure needs are delivered to benefit all Londoners. Stepping Stones Fund

LVSC are inviting all interested charities and social enterprises in the Greater London area to an information session about the Stepping Stones Fund, a £1m social investment readiness grant programme of City Bridge Trust and UBS.
