Future of Civil Society Support in London - latest update

The Way Ahead- Civil Society at the Heart of London London Funders, working with London Voluntary Service Council (LVSC) and Greater London Volunteering (GLV) and others has commissioned research to look into the future of civil society infrastructure in London

Further to last month's update on "The Way Ahead", here is more information on how you can be involved in helping to shape the next steps with this important work - through coming along to an event for all stakeholders on 30th November, and considering whether you'd like to lead one of the working groups being set up to focus on making change happen.

Work with us to achieve the ambitions of The Way Ahead for Londoners

To make change happen, a cross-sector collaborative "Systems Change Group" has been established to take forward the recommendations, and we're now setting up five themed task-and-finish groups to lead on the practical planning needed to underpin successful change.

Each of the five groups will prepare the road ahead in relation to one of our themes, which bring together the twelve recommendations for action in The Way Ahead - the groups are:

Co-production
Data: collating, analysing and sharing data about the needs and strengths of Londoners
Triage and connecting: local, specialist and regional support organisations
Voice and campaigning: civil society needs to be fully engaged in decision-making on London- wide issues,
Consistent commissioning and funding for support

Making It Happen: co-producing the next steps for the Way Ahead

This is a joint event delivered by LVSC, Greater London Volunteering and London Funders. 'The Way Ahead - Civil Society at the Heart of London' was published in April this year and we now need to move to on to the next stage - making it all happen!
